Asahimas Chemical to increase investment in Indonesia

 

Japanese-backed Asahimas Chemical plans to invest $885 million over the next few years to expand its existing factory in Indonesia and build a power plant.
“We are confident in chemical business prospects in Indonesia,” Takuya Shimamura, the chief executive and president of parent company Asahi Glass, said on Wednesday. “That’s why we have decided to increase the investment.”

New Chemical Alumina Plant in Indonesia Starts Commercial Operation

Indonesia plans draft chemicals Act next year

A draft of an Act to cover all the “basic requirements” of chemicals management in Indonesia is expected to be released next year, according to a Ministry of Industry official.
